Hand-painted wooden clog for »De Klompen Show«, which was a public exhibition in Amsterdam featuring uniquely designed clogs by a wide array of different artists.
Taking place ahead of Koningsdag 2017 (a Dutch national holiday to honor the King's birthday and the biggest party of the year in the Netherlands), this event was organized by Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam. The idea was to collect money for Soles4Souls, a non-profit organization that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. All those clogs would be sold via silent auction during the event.
Considering the theme, I created my own personal version, naming it »Clogwork Orange«. Everything is drawn by hand. I used different kinds of fineliners, inks and markers, adding a few layers of varnish in the end.
